As a Territory Sales Associate, you will drive growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding a sales territory vertical market. Your vertical may include healthcare facilities, training and development, building engineers, property managers, building owners, data centers, contractors, distribution centers, telecom, and federal, state, and local government.

Your Responsibilities

  • Meeting regular sales targets and executing sales plans by developing new customers through prospecting, generating leads, and qualifying accounts.
  • Persuading clients of the appropriate product or service that best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, application, service, delivery, and price by providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
  •  Creating sales proposals to drive continuous improvement and generate new opportunities and revenue within a given sales territory or market.
 
  • Reviewing and determining project requirements, presenting solutions with quotes, and negotiating purchases with customers.
  • Following up on quotes, contract renewals, contract proposals, and engineering quotes.
  • Reporting of all sales activity into CRM, including appointments, calls, leads, account, and opportunity updates, NFPA 110 presentations, etc.
  • Collaboration with the sales team, support personnel, and other company departments regarding billing issues, adjustments, credits, open tickets, etc.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; etc.

Your Skills
  • Ability to build long-term business relationships and become a trusted advisor in named accounts.
  • Ability to understand and uncover the customer’s business challenges with strong problem-solving and prospecting skills.
  • Understanding of the competitive environment
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, along with excellent presentation and demonstration skills as well as strong listening and discovery skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the marketing message and use it to advance technical sales.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, economics, professional sales, or similar is preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in technical sales.
  • Microsoft Office and CRM experience required.
  • Highly competitive and significant desire to hunt and win opportunities.
